Just wanted to bring another good vet clinic of Karachi to your attention… There are 2 really good vets, Dr. Syed Toqeer Gilani and Dr. Kamran who have a clinic near Noorani Kabab House. I take my pets to them for checkups and vaccinations and am always happy with the results. The address is:
‘PETS Clinic’ near Rehmania Masjid Road, Off tariq Road, Near Society Grave Yard, Block 2, P.E.C.H.S

Hi,
Can you give me the directions to Dr. Isma Gheewala’s clinic?
Thanks.
If you’re heading down Shamsheer towards the sea, take a left onto 26th street. Keep going till you see a KFC on your right. Dr. Isma’s clinic is a little bit ahead of that.

AOA All!
Thankyou so much for sharing this all.
I would definitely add in credits for Dr. Faisal, of Pets and Vets in Islamabad. Him and his partner, Dr. Kamran, are wonderful with the animals. So many times they’ve helped my felines, and everytime I’ve been more than gracious to them.
In another note, Dr. Rana disappointed me quite many a times. But, then maybe it was an experience. But yeah, Dr. Faisal, I take my felines to. =)
can any one recommend me a dr for surgeries. My dog got poisoned. apparently the poison thing got cured but the dog has a watery belly now. want to get removed this water from his stomach asap else it may affect his kidneys and lungs.
regards

Regards Hira
Dr. Mahboob, it’s great to hear you’re planning to open up a clinic in Pakistan. When would you be moving back? We are based in Karachi, and there aren’t any clinics here that have the kind of facilities that clinics in North America have. Lahore and Faisalabad have large veterinary universities with many great practicing veterinarians. Islamabad has good vets too. We think Karachi would be a great option as we really need more facilities for animal care. Best of luck, and do send us an email at info@pawspakistan.org so we can be in touch.
Dr. Wajid, good to hear that you would be coming back to practice in Pakistan. We have a number of veterinarians on our list whom you can contact for information about jobs in the profession. When are you planning to move back? Send us an email at info@pawspakistan.org so we can keep in touch.
Dr. Shalla, thanks for helping out.
Sam, how’s your kitten doing?
Gulsanga and Omar, you’re welcome. Thanks for your comments.
Ali, Sana, Omar, Kashif, Shehzad, Sikandar, Amna and Umair, thanks for adding to our list of veterinarians.
Laila, hope you were able to find a good veterinarian in your city.
Ahmed, how’s your kitten? Hope the stomach problems resolved. What are you feeding it now?
Usama, so sorry to hear about your dog being poisoned. How is he doing now? We hope you were able to find a good veterinarian who could operate on him.
Dr. Ihsan, thank you for your words of encouragement. We’re glad you find the site useful. Do let us know about your experience of working as a Pakistani veterinarian abroad. It would be very interesting to know what kind of facilities are available for pets in Mississauga.
Hira, we’re sorry to hear about your cat. Hope she gets all better soon. Try any of the doctors we have listed for Lahore. There is also the pet clinic at the veterinary university (http://uvas.edu.pk/petcenter/default.aspx). We are based in Karachi. Can someone from Lahore recommend any clinic in particular from their city?
Hi,

I am looking for Vet in North Nazimabad! If anyone can help.
Also is there any 24hour vet emergency service available in North Nazimabad or near by area.
Thanks
Ahsan,
Try one of the vets listed above from North Nazimabad:
Dr. Syed Anwer Ahmed, Nazimabad – 6680709
And as far as we know, there are no 24 hour emergency centers for pets in Karachi yet. Some of the vets in our list have 24rs listed in front of their names… have a look. It’s generally better to be in touch with a veterinarian and establish a relationship with him/her, so that you have someone to call in case of an emergency.
Zia and Arfan,
Thanks for adding to our list of vets.
sir
i have completesd my dvm from UVAS and wana practice on ur clinic..
Arooj, PAWS does not have any clinic of its own yet. You may however contact any of the veterinarians above for more information about job availabilities. What city are you based in?

Are there any animal shelters in Karachi or Islamabad?
Nancy, the only animal shelter in Karachi is that of the Edhi Foundation off the superhighway on the outskirts of the city. It’s on four acres, with a handful of cats, dogs, birds and donkeys. A video of it is online here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2369953176340456463&hl=en
There are no animal shelters or any kind of humane society for animals in Islamabad.
Hie can anyone tell me any good vet doctors (for my cat) in gulshan and gulistan-e-johar and their addresses as well? plz dont recommend Dr. Anwar thameem.
there r no proper vets in lahore at all…there was one but he died …..after that i dont trust anyone….they treat pets as if they r not alive…..they dont keep the place clean they dont use disposable instruments they dnt have sufficient equipments n are all money minded…..we need really good vets in lahore who became vets for the love of animals rather than failing the examz….i need 2 get my cats neutered and spayed! sooo please whoever got his degree from abroad with good amount of time practisng plzzz open a clinic in lahore …v need u!
Dr. Tahir Mahboob
Having lived around the world with my pets, it is extremely important to have the best in veterinarian facilities available for peace of mind.
<ay I suggest the KDA area of Karachi. Most vets seems othave practices in Clifton or Defense, and those of us living in the KDA region have very limited access to veterinarian care unless we travel 30 – 45 minutes. During this time a beloved pet could pass away. It would alos be wonderful if the vet clinic could provide the good pet food _ Science Diet, Hills Kd, Ld, etc diets for both cats and dogs.
Please let us know when you are coming and when your clinic would be operational.
Thank you.
I am really shock to see this website, here all people maybe not know who is good vet in karachi or maybe they not have long time to keep pets, amazing to hear name of vet like Dr. Syed Toqeer Gilani, Dr. Kamran, Dr,Anwar thaheem and Dr,shahzad thaheem, i not even here these names before and i have pets from last 20 years and my all friends and family have too.
If anyone ask any pet owner who is best vet in karachi, there is only 2 clinics PIRZADA PETS CLINC and Dr Asma clinic, other all are non experience vet and not know much, not even 10% if compare with that 2 clinics.
Amber Naz

I THINK THIS SITE OWNER MUST CORRECT IT
